How It All Began
Ever since I was a little girl, I grew up being influenced by both Indian and American cultures. At school, I'd be singing "Call Me Maybe", while at home, I'd be yelling "Chammak Challo". I loved that I grew up in a mix of two very different cultures, however, I became confused and began to dislike my identity very quickly. At school, I would get made fun of for being "too Indian", while in India, I would get bullied for being "too American". Now that this common issue is being brought up more, I thought that starting a blog would be the perfect way to share my raw thoughts and feelings of being brought up in two different, yet beautiful cultures, as well as sharing some recipes, experiences, and more along the way.
